Just found the site guys and its mint!! Lovin the mixes from the reunion!!
Anyways my 1st experience of hippos was immense! Being from midd i had heard of it when it was a cheesy club and when a guy i used to work with at CIS in manc told me he was goin there i was shocked, he explained it had changed!!
A while later i actually went on a sat night in early 91 and was totally blown away, ithe 1st thing i remember was walking through the doors after paying and being searched was the green lasers bouncin about and that everyone was climbed on anything and everything goin for it big time!!
Tunes were unreal and loved every minute of it!!
I went to a few of the reunion nights that were done at maximes but cant really remember when they were, gettin on a bit now, lol!!
Oh yeah one more thing i defo remember from my 1st and every other night really was Mark, mr ponytail himself, how you doin fella?? another fellow CIS worker at the time!!
