I know it sounds depressing but we've lost some good people since Hippos and I thought it would be nice to remember them somewhere?? My very good friend Karl Mattison died 2002 and I know VW Chris lost Micheal not long after that.

No - that's Carl Turton - still alive as far as I know - not seen him for about a decade.

Will have to sort a low res picture of him from my store - (just tried uploading one but the file was big as it was high res) - at Hippos was a friend of John Aspinall who DJ'd at the Concord suite as DJ Elusiv.

oh and a poem I think he wrote

Narcotic Anarchy

In years to come
We'll tell the story
Of our urge
To feel the fury
But do not reflect
With any sadness
Because we all
Breathed the Madness!

There's 'Hippos Heads' section on the website, which as of yet I haven't made a start on....perhaps we can put together a little 'tribute' sub section in there....We're getting there!!!

As for Carl Turton in the pic above....people always got confused between he and I, so he got the nickname 'Curly Carl'.....sound lad, be great if we could track him down !!
