HA! I can't believe this but I have just been searching for this forum on Google to see what comes up and I found someone actually selling hippos flyers on Ebay!

Not just Hippos flyers either - you can search through the entire list of flyers by club or by year - I remember having loads of the ones from 1991/2 on my wall...

god, you can buy bloody anything on Ebay!!!

I swear I had all them and hundreds more!! still got a few knocking around somewhere. I had some really cool ones from the Eclipse from 1990.

Kept shitloads for years, Even had all the peanut pete stuff, from the anti drugs people. (Funny as fuck) Then michelle sneakly thru them away a few years back. Would have bin worth a bit now :cry:

I used to have loads of flyers all over my wall, then narrowed it down, as i thought i was maturing and when i hade my own place just put a few of the better ones up!! When my flat was robbed, all my records and pretty much all my memories went with the fuckers, i only had one small box with a few items in!! I used to blag Dave The Rave for orginal flyers before they even went out!!

Glad you all like the flyers! I used to work at the ad agency (Art Directon, Salford) and actually made all of these along with Dave K.

Great days for me, even better nights at Hippos. I just wish I had kept some of them. Does Colin or Dave use this board at all?

Nice one mate, Always wondered where the flyers where designed. U got any artwork by chance? Colin does come on here now and then. Your best bet would be type in HIPPODROME REUNION on facebook . He's a member there. Speakin of the reunion , Are u coming?

Unfortunately I don't have a single thing left, and I used to have copies of every single flyer and poster/car sticker we made. My bedroom wall back then was covered in the big outdoor posters, quite a sight

When I moved out of my ma's house I think they all got binned. For anyone interested, Art Direction was on Chapel Street in Salford, and we were with Colin from the first club (yellow flyer, pretty basic if I remember right) through to the end. I remember mad days with Jay and Moggy invading the place... working till well after 11pm because Colin decided he wanted to change one little detail ... and then another ... and another!

They were good days, and it was a job I loved. I will try and get to that reunion!

yeah i know the feeling mate, i design myself and am constantley fiddling with the small details

Had a massive collection until the girlfrind threw them away :shock:

Colin still has all the flyers , membership card etc . no large posters tho. would love to see a couple ov them now to copy the layout for the reunion nite decor. i cannot remember exactly wot they looked like.
